Fitness-for-purpose / services assessment (FFP/FFS)
Key point of the approach of an FFP assessment is its relationship to a code compliance, e.g. the compliance of a pressure vessel with construction requirements of ASME VIII, EN 13445 or AS 1210, or any other recognized published technical standard.
Most FFP assessments are done on components that are outside code compliance limits in some way.
FFP assessments can be used to analyze either out-of-code construction defects, or those who have occurred or worsened during a component's service lifetime.
